I've already subjected everyone to the only good recent animu I've watched (Gurren Lagann, Shinchan, and Sgt. Frog). I can suggest two TV shows. Party Down, which is on Netflix, is pretty good. It has a few Freaks & Geeks actors, and it's pretty well written. And then there's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which I have fallen in love with recently. Both are kind of like mature versions of Arrested Development (not as well written, mind you, but the same type of humor and delivery). Also, Fred Savage directs both shows. You know, from the Wonder Years.
Movies? Inception. And I still need to see Toy Story 3. But from the sounds of it, those are the best two movies to be released this year. DVD movies? Can't really think of anything right now, besides the Terry Gilliam movies I've been watching lately, like Brazil (which is definitely his deepest movie, and has the least anti-climatic ending out of all his movies...which they all have anti-climactic endings).
