October 24 Stuff-a-polloza (Ren-Fair and Halloween Party)

Alrighty everyone, on Saturday, October 24th, I was planning on going to the Ohio Renaissance Festival, as it is the last weekend it will be open this season. The ren-fair outing was going to be followed up by attending the Official TK-Bear Crew "Night of the Living Bear" Halloween party in Columbus.

If anyone is interested in coming up for these events, I can offer crash space on the night of Friday the 23, so we could head out to the Ren-Fair early-ish in the morning. For the Halloween party, Marshal is hosting it at his folks place, which has a lot of land, so there will be a camping area, just bring a tent to set up, and for those who think it is too cold or want to be indoors, there will be indoor crash areas as well.

That's sounds cool I am totally up for Bonfire and Camping. We also have RenFair outfits to wear to and we know a couple Madrigal songs! Yay!

The faire is Wilmington, OH, which is pretty much on the way to Columbus, about half way, which is why I planned to hit up the faire, then go on to Columbus for the party

I haven't been to the Ohio Renaissance Festival since high school. It will be fun to go again. I think Brandy and I can make it. I still don't want to give a definite, as we are moving, but consider this a "almost as good as definite confirmation of intent to go."

I'd love to go as well. I'll have to see if I have anything else going on at the time though.

I can drive, I can carry 5 passengers. Looks like it will be a 3+ hour trip, but it sounds like fun. I can leave that Friday night at 7 p.m. after work, I assume we could get a cheap hotel Friday night because I doubt leaving early Saturday will work for this group LOL. Let me know what you all think.

*Nod* Yup, as long as you don't mind two dogs, and maybe having to sleep on the floor. I know Alex and Brandy can have the spare bed, and then everybody else can fight it out for the futon.

I'm geared up for it. I've come to accept that it will always be raining so I am prepared to have fun outdoors even if it is raining. I think my parents have a 4 person+ tent that we can borrow, 'tis waterproof. Mayhap I wilt speaketh in ye Olde English forsooth the weekend.

Cadet, people are asking me if the party/camping involves costumes. As in, should we wear costumes. I'm assuming no, but inquiring minds must know.

Prinny...This a TK-Bear Crew Halloween Party....Costumes are mandatory.

Well, my Ganondorf isn't even started yet. I was thinking about attaching some fur to my blue hoodie and going as an Ice Climber, especially if it's cold outside.

There aren't going to be any Stormtroopers there.

Off the top of my head, Jasmine is going to be doing her Tia Dalma, Marshall is Doing Dr. Joker, so I am doing Nurse Henchman, Andy might do his Boba Fett, but he might be the only one in a star wars costume.

If I can find a fitting striped shirt. Because we do have Sculpey for the medallion. Or Targo, you can be Chris chan if you still need a costume. We can swing by Goodwill between classes on Wednesday or Thursday.

I think some one should be the brown striped guy too.

Oh and I'm afraid I can't give you the Tingle costume yet- it's not finished and it probably shouldn't be in a camping situation until it premiers at Ohayocon. I do have two men's Renaissance shirts that I sewed earlier for our a capella madrigal singing group laying around that can get dirty though that you can borrow! I have a white peasant's shirt that might fit Isaac.

I don't think Isaac is going this weekend. That might put us at two car-loads.
