I just realized that Scott Pilgrim has a very similar plot to Chris-Chan's Sonichu comics.

And there are plenty of other similarities I could point out, and this is just from reading one volume of Scott Pilgrim and looking at TVTropes.

Scott Pilgrim is okay, but it is definitely overrated. It's written well, but it has one of the worst plots I have ever heard. And all of the video game references are from the 8-bit error. You know, they made more video games after Super Mario Bros. 3.

I also heard that the villains are based around denying Scott Pilgrim his "one true love". Which is exactly what the villains in the Sonichu comics do to Chris-chan, but only with more hilarious results (Virginia is for Virgins and so on).

/v/ and /tv/ also refer to it as Hipster Bullshit. The /tv/ board is taking a lot of pleasure in the movie only being 5th in the box office for Saturday. 60 - 90 mil movie only making 11 mil its first Friday and Saturday usually means no sequel.

tried the demo for the game... sucks balls. All the nostalgic look... and all the nostalgic frustration with a character that punches five times slower than you can mash the buttons. FUUUU.

Yeah, I would be keeping up with the reactions to the movie on 4chan...if we weren't banned. Somehow we got banned for Ban Evasion, and I'm not even clear what that means? And Brandy didn't post anything that would have been bannable. So we haven't been able to view 4chan all week.

That's a shame about the game, though. I was kind of looking forward to it because it was made by three artists who's blog I follow, and I like classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups. I think it will be on the 360 later this month, so I'll see if it's actually bad or if it's just one of those things that Tina hates that everyone else in the world loves.

This kind of made me happy, in a way. I mean, he's a con artist, but he seems to be a master at it, which I can respect. And it reminded me of the Darren Brown specials on Sci-Fi, when it was still called "Sci-Fi".

I almost hope they don't catch him. Robbing through mind tricks is way cooler than through force.

Because I'm almost 24, and I just think it's too young for me. At least in terms of stages in life. I've been out of college, working in "the real" world, worrying about stuff like Health Insurance and what have, and this girls would just be starting college. There's lots changes in between that leave you a bitter shell of a man.

I think you have to handle stuff like this by a case by case basis. Some 19 year olds are mature enough to date someone older (many of course are not), and five years isn't that great of a difference in the grand scheme of things. My opinion, if it feels right then go for it, if it doesn't then don't.
